Airbnb & Open Air Homes: some July 2024 details

MY PRIMARY AND ONLY HOME, AND FIRST TIME RENTING IT OUT...

Open Air Homes promises "luxury" property management, a network of clientele they have vetted, and immediate coverage if anything goes wrong. 

But then, after some bizarre 1-star reviews (guests arriving to unwashed dishes, door code not working, etc), Open Air Homes claimed they could only rent my house out at about half price...

STRANGE PRICING

...for renter "Yoshi Camacho" from Orange County, CA. 

I asked about the dramatic price slash, and Open Air Homes said it's really hard to rent out my house. Yoshi was the last renter of the 4-month period I was overseas before I planned to return and put the house up for sale. 

For "Yoshi Camacho", the rental price was cut almost in half. 

IT'S JUST A LOT OF FOOD DELIVERIES??!!

Midway through the five week rental, my neighbors reached out to me, alarmed about "druggies" streaming in and out of the house at all hours, blacked out windows, constant parties with "tall blonde drag queens", etc. 

Open Air Homes replied that everything is just great at the house! Very quiet, only two people, house in great condition, no parties etc.
