Airbnb & Open Air Homes: some August 2024 details

Check out day: I returned home earlier than Open Air Homes anticipated

^ Ring camera shot (taken by a guest with three nipples, there's a lot more pics etc of him) of what might be a dead body on my couch? And why did guests walk around with one of my Ring cameras and record all kinds of people and stuff? Who knows.

Remember: this website has just a few examples of all the photos, emails, stuff left behind at the house etc. The feds got it all before I even knew about any of this.

I had emailed Open Air Homes during my overseas trip to let them know that I would like to stay in my house again when I return to the US starting September 8th 2024.

Yoshi Camacho's five-week stay ended with check-out day on August 21st 2024 (my final renter).

My plans changed and I returned to the US a little earlier. Open Air Homes always said that hosts can return home at 4pm on guest check-out day. It didn't even occur to me to tell them I was coming back early since there were no guests booked after Yoshi Camacho.

Check out day: Open Air Homes employees frantically trying to clean and empty the house

^ Ring camera shot of what *looks a lot like* a Yoshi Camacho from Orange County with a private account and a profile pic that looks like a drag queen on Instagram who happens to be friends with an Open Air Homes business partner. But of course it might not be, who knows who it is. In this shot (one of many) he is assessing some damage from a collapsed ceiling beneath the second level lab.

Anyway, back to Yoshi Camacho's check out day: I walked into my home and found at least four, possibly more, Open Air Homes employees cleaning frantically.

One of the cleaners told me that Open Air Homes had forced them to be there cleaning for six hours already that day urging no breaks (it was 2pm when I arrived) pushing them to remove everything as fast as possible. She said most of what was in the house had already been removed by Open Air Homes when I arrived around 2pm.

This cleaner also said that the house was packed with addicts and partying the entire rental, and that Open Air Homes knew and allowed it. She looked scared and whispered this stuff to me with no one else in the room. A cleaner silently watched me closely in the house while texting someone.

Check out day: "Bricks and bricks"

^ an example of a tiny patch of my house. The destruction and stuff left behind was surreal, including stuff tied to reality show and drag queen celebrities in LA and Palm Springs.

My house was destroyed, and so disgusting that nothing could even be touched. It felt and smelled like the inside of a used coffin.

Flooded second level, collapsed ceiling, holes and blood stains on the walls, blacked out windows, nearly everything stolen or destroyed, disgusting fluids and other honestly indescribable weird stuff (I was in shock) etc.

I didn't understand why at the time, but there was disassembled metal and other odd stuff everywhere.

In the police interview later that day, an Open Air Homes employee told an LAPD officer that there were "bricks and bricks of drugs" in the house when they arrived in the morning. Wherever Open Air Homes took them is still a mystery.

Check out day: Mysterious van arrives to pick up duffel bags and money counting machines in garage

There was a pile of stuffed duffel bags (I didn't open them) and money counting machines in the garage-- the LAPD officers who arrived later that day told me not to touch any of it for my safety.

Shortly after I arrived, while in the garage with the Open Air Homes "Check Out Specialist", a white van (with no side or back windows and with license plate covered) backed into the driveway apparently to collect the duffel bags and money counting machines.

I immediately approached and they sped away.

^ There's a pic of the van speeding away.

Check out day: Addicts coming to the house became common for months after the renters

After the white van, we went inside to my second level.

Two addicts walked into the house carrying bags and looked at the Open Air Homes employee and said "we brought what you told us to bring".

I immediately said "Those people are not here anymore. The police are on their way, and you can stay if you want to or you can leave if you want to."

They immediately picked up their bags and departed.

^ Pic example of the stream of addicts that would try to enter my home over the following three months.

Check out day: Desperate attempt to keep addicts and others away from the house

When LAPD officers arrived in the early evening, they said that addicts and others would likely keep returning to the house.

They also pulled me aside and told me that there would have been a full lab evidence team first thing in the morning, but Open Air Homes only reported that two TVs were stolen which is why only two officers showed up after 6pm.

Also alarming, the renters left copies of my old passport and drivers license (they had taken them from locked storage) on top of the pile of duffel bags.

Eventually (a year later!) I was relieved to find out from federal authorities that there were also identity thieves in the rental, so maybe that wasn't directed at me. It was unclear at the time what it meant!

To try to stop addicts and others from coming, the officers suggested I push it all out to the driveway and put up these signs, which I covered the house in, and I left all of that stuff in the driveway overnight. It was gone by morning.

The signs say:

TAKE YOUR THINGS

THE HOUSE AND GARAGE ARE EMPTY

YOUR THINGS ARE ALL IN THE DRIVEWAY

WARNING

THE POLICE ARE MONITORING THIS PROPERTY

DO NOT COME BACK

Open Air Homes CEO pushes me off on Airbnb, provides zero support or assistance, blames me

^ my first contact from Open Air Homes CEO Brad Greiner, six days after Yoshi Camacho's check out day.

In any reporting on this website, I always scratch out names and emails etc of anyone who isn't C-suite from any company. I assume most or possibly even all employees of Open Air Homes are just so ill prepared by the "company" that they bumble through this while Brad or whoever else is involved moves the needle and pushes the blame.

A harrowing life experience, and still ongoing two years later

^ one of the many guests including reality and drag queen celebrities from LA and Palm Springs who left behind all kinds of information which the feds took, and they convicted some people before I even found out about it a year later. I assume there's more to come but I have no idea. This shot is pre-ceiling collapse.

After addicts kept trying to break in, I fled my home and LA until October for my safety because both LAPD and federal authorities warned me to stay away from the house. I returned in October 2024...
